Grow your £10

Members of the Church community were given £10 with the aim of using this money to make more. Below are some of things people have been doing and how you can help.

Two members have made various pieces of jewellery by buying the necessary materials using their combined £20.

Colourful Cushions

Two members have made a variety of cushions available to buy for £10.

Cream Tea

Someone has organised a cream tea afternoon for their friends in order to grow their £10.

A member of the Youth Group is turning old tin cans into tealight holders to sell within the community. So any empty tin cans would be much appreciated.

As one of our biggest fundraising events Walton Methodist Youth Group, with the help of other members of the community, put on everyone's favourite pantomime: Cinderella.

The script was written by members of the Youth Group.

The end product was very successful with almost three sold out shows!

Supported by...

On behalf of all the cast of Cinderella I would like to take this opportunity to say another BIG THANK YOU to everyone that supported us. Whether it was by providing your expertise backstage, painting/producing scenery and props, keeping us fed, selling tickets or attending one of our shows. The latter being particularly important since it was the fantastic audiences that we had over the three shows that made the Panto the success it was.

After almost a year in the making I definitely felt, as I’m sure you all did, that all the hard work paid off! The set looked amazing, the sound and lighting were fantastic, the audience laughed at the jokes (thank goodness!) and although I may be slightly bias I thought the cast was
phenomenal too (thanks to careful direction from Marion).

And perhaps the cherry on top of the cake was that we raised almost three thousand pounds for the Uganda Project. Let’s hope no tickets are ripped up or glass slippers lost before they get there!!
